My Kind of Country – Noble Isle Founder, Katy Simpson

As seen in Country Homes & Interiors Magazine

You may have seen the interview with our fabulous founder Katy Simpson in Country Homes & Interiors magazine this January, where Katy talks about festive celebrations, country life and all things Noble Isle.

But just in case you missed it, here’s a few excerpts from the feature, that give a seasonal glimpse of the woman behind Noble Isle – the beauty company that blends elderflowers and gooseberries, honey and rhubarb into the luxury bath and body products - that you’ve all come to know and love.

What’s your favourite thing to do in Winter? – “Sitting by the fire”

Favourite Christmas scent? – “The Noble Isle Fireside range, which has top notes of grapefruit and pink pepper, layered with cinnamon, cypress oil, ginger, oakmoss and vanilla – it’s a real Christmas scent”

Tell us a little about Noble Isle and its beginnings? Noble Isle was the term used in the 15th century for what we know as Britain. The name captures the essence of the brand because so many of our ingredients are sourced from locally celebrated producers throughout England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.”

What inspires you most about living in the country? – “Having studied fashion and trend forecasting I learned early on that all colour combinations and patterns are based on nature – my head is always full of natural colour combinations. I use them to get inspiration for the boxes and ribbons for gift sets.”

What couldn't you live without? – “My friends and family, and woodland walks with Hoagie and Slippers my two Scotland Terriers (half Westie and half Scottie).”

What’s on the stove this time of year? – “My favourite dish for festive celebration is roast goose with a homemade stuffing of roast plum, black pudding and walnut served with carrot and turnip mash.”

What’s Your New Year Resolution? “To cook more. It’s such a therapeutic thing to do – it’s like yoga!”

You can read the full feature written by journalist Sarah Wilson in January issue of Country Homes & Interiors. Wishing you all a Happy New Year – from Noble Isle!
